The Fountain Creek Watershed District engaged 6035 Strategies in early 2023 to develop a new Strategic Plan. The last plan was put together in 2009, so it was time for an update.
A series of public meetings were held to gather feedback from community members and member governments within the watershed. Additionally, the District engaged American Pulse in polling across El Paso and Pueblo Counties, and an online survey was created.
This new plan provides a background on what the District is, how it operates, some of the challenges and opportunities that exist, and an actionable timeline for implementation.
Fountain Creek Watershed District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Fountain Creek Watershed District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
