Sallie Clark serves as the USDA Rural Development State Director for Colorado, a position she held during President Trump’s first term. Most recently, Sallie served as the Senior Advisor for Government & Military Engagement in the Mayor's Office of Community Affairs at the City of Colorado Springs, overseeing public policy, military engagement and the Sister Cities International program. She has served in local, state and national government-related positions including as an El Paso County Commissioner, president of the National Association of Counties (NACo) and a member of NACo's Rural Action Caucus and was a member of the Colorado Springs City Council and Colorado Springs Utilities Board. She is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program and Gates Family Foundation Fellowship. Dedicated to rural communities, Sallie has family roots in Colorado where she spent every summer on her grandmother's farm in Pueblo. She is a military wife (U.S. Navy) and is a longtime business owner and entrepreneur with a passion for public service and volunteerism.
