Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Mary Wilson realized her passion for Rocky Mountain birds and the places they live while studying Flammulated Owls for her Organismal Biology and Ecology degree at Colorado College. That, combined with a minor in Arabic and Islamic Studies, a background in outdoor education and service, and supporting the local Audubon chapter, ignited a profound interest in connecting diverse communities with the outdoor realm and conservation education. In her spare time, you can find Mary running anywhere up and down nearby mountain trails or leading local birding trips. Most of her indoor time is spent curled up with a good book or drawing and painting birds.
