Hadit Poveda Morales

Position: Watershed Outreach Assistant (Colorado College PIFP Yearlong Fellow)

Hadit joins FCWD as the Watershed Outreach Assistant through Colorado College's Public Interest Fellowship Program. She recently graduated from Colorado College where she majored in Environmental Studies with a minor in Political Science. Her academic research focused on environmental policy and the factors that contribute to successful community-based environmental management.

Through her studies, Hadit developed a strong interest in the connection between environmental policy and local action. She is excited to support environmental education, outreach events, communications, and volunteer engagement while helping connect communities throughout the watershed to the importance of protecting local natural resources.

Originally from Colombia, Hadit enjoys exploring Colorado's outdoors, running, discovering new restaurants, and learning about different cultures through food and travel. She looks forward to spending the year building relationships within the community and contributing to watershed stewardship efforts across the region.
