Major US Watersheds

The Fountain and Monument Creek subwatersheds contribute to the Arkansas River highlighted in red on the map below. Water in the Arkansas is used many times before it flows into the Gulf of Mexico. The creeks and rivers sustain plants, wildlife, ground water, and overall watershed health, but also provide people with drinking water, agricultural irrigation, recreation, and other beneficial uses.
