Educator Resources
Creek Week Clean-Up is all about raising awareness of our precious water resources. We encourage educators to utilize this time to offer activities and lessons to their students in addition to participating in a clean-up. Here are some great water activities to get you started. If you have additional resources, we would love to add them to our list – email creekweeksoco@gmail.com with your links.

A watershed is a region that drains into a river, river system, or other body of water. John Wesley Powell, the 19th century geologist and explorer, described a watershed as:that area of land, a bounded hydrologic system, within which all living things are inextricably linked by their common water course and where, as humans settled, simple logic demanded that they become part of a community.
