Fountain Creek Watershed
Strategic Plan

The Fountain Creek Vision Task Force completed its strategic plan for the watershed in March 2009. The plan is a collaborative document written by stakeholders in the watershed, including staff from the City of Pueblo, the City of Colorado Springs, the City of Fountain, El Paso County, the Pueblo Board of Water Works, Colorado Springs Utilities, Senator Salazar’s office, Fort Carson, Colorado Open Lands, the Sierra Club, AWARE Colorado, Peaks Peak Area Council of Governments, CH2MHill, and Matrix Design Group. Additionally, residents of El Paso, Pueblo, and Teller counties who are not affiliated with any government or organization but who are committed to improvements in Fountain Creek made invaluable contributions to this plan.
